Ellis, 22, has appeared in five games this season with the Salmon Kings after recovering from a high ankle sprain suffered in Vancouver Canucks training camp. In that time, he is 4-1-0 with a 1.40 goals-against-average and a .948 save percentage.

Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - The Vancouver Canucks recalled forward Jason Jaffray from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, it was announced on Monday. To make room for Jaffray, Vancouver re-assigned forward Alexandre Bolduc to the Moose. The 27-year-old Jaffray leads the Moose with 12 goals and is second with 17 points in 17 games this season. Burke spent the past three-plus seasons as general manager of the Ducks and led the team to a Stanley Cup title in 2007. He stepped down on November 12 after declining to sign a contract extension.
